Crating your puppy will help with potty training and help your puppy stay out of trouble when you can not watch them. It also helps them learn what is expected of them. Until puppies understand what is wanted of them just use positive reinforcement. Crates can give a puppy a safe place to go. Be sure to wear an old T-shirt and put it in their den so that they have your scent. I will give you a towel with the scent of their mom and siblings also.
Be sure to get a crate that will be big enough when they are adults to turn, lay down and move around in. They will not potty in their crate unless they just can not hold it anymore. If they are crying, take them outside give them time to potty and put them back into their crate.
